Since 2005, REACH International UK is assisting children all around the world to achieve their full potential. Some of the projects, which we have successfully accomplished include, orphanages, schools, day centres, but we also supported numerous children with the cost of their education.
Casa Din Campie Orphanage – Peretu, Romania
One of REACH International UK’s first projects was to establish an orphanage, together with education support for children from the local community. The project helped marginalised orphans who had become victims of crime. Despite of these setbacks in their lives many of the children have gone on to become successful professionals across the globe. Furthermore, given the significant time since the close of the project we approached and interviewed some of the former attendees from the project, which we will published very soon.
Day Centre – Medze, Latvia
REACH International UK organised and managed an orphanage in the Medze area. The children accepted into the programme were orphans with limited or no prospects. Due to the socio-political situation in Latvia in 2008, orphans did not have access to decent education or assistance. The project, which has now been running successfully for more than ten years, has helped many children become adults who are realising and following their dreams.
Madras project – South India
REACH International UK assisted with the construction of a two-storey dormitory and school building for children in Madras. Construction of the much-needed school had stalled until we stepped in to help. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the hard work of volunteers the project was completed on target and within the budget.
Tracksuit Project – Port Shepstone, South Africa
Together with local partners REACH International UK organised and funded support for an Assisi Children’s Shelter in Port Shepstone, South Africa. Children from the shelter received clothes and other items. Above all, children’s excitement and gratefulness was inspiring lesson for all of us involved.
School – Sao Tome and Principe
A local community, in partnership with REACH International UK, built a school for the unprivileged children. Before the school was built the local community had no access to education. The local community, which runs the school has created a real communal spirit. This communal spirit is enabling the children and adults to thrive and develop.
